Candis Cayne ~ Holland Hollis

Candis Cayne burst onstage in the mid-nineties with a high kick at Boy Bar in The East Village where high production values met tight choreography in a winning formula. The leggy, Hawaii-raised Cayne rose quickly through the ranks, and soon was enjoying Star Status, helped by her years of dance training and sex kitten presence.

One of the hardest-working performers, Candis has staged ever more complex production numbers at Wigstock, White Party, and other large-scale gay festivals, often involving dozens of background dancers and weeks of rehearsal. (In fact, Candis' Broadway-caliber productions are often cited as the reason that virtually all Wigstock performers did elaborate numbers -they are simply afraid NOT to!)

Choreography credits include "Too Wong Foo" and "Stonewall", and she has appeared in numerous multi media campaigns including television commercials & print ads, while also keeping busy with fashion shows, off Broadway productions, and her own one woman cabaret show. In 2001 she won Miss Continental ,the biggest, most exclusive, & highly respected pageant in the world for the LGBT community.

In 2007, Cayne was cast in a ground-breaking role as Carmelita Rainer in ABC’s primetime show “Dirty Sexy Money.” She became the FIRST transgendered actress to play a starring role on a network show and broke barriers leaving a new path for her community to follow. In 2012, she was cast in her second primetime show as a recurring character in the CBS hit show "Elementary".

She currently is living in LA, acting and continuing to entertain, as she stays true to her roots by performing her cabaret act all over the country.
